A family that works out together.. is a family that sticks together!

MY BEAUTIFUL FAMILY!!!
I woke up at about 8:06 this morning after my dad came in my room, which ultimately woke me up! After being pissed for about five minutes, upon being a woken, I decide that this would be a great opportunity for an early morning outdoor workout. I ran to wake up my sister and mom to see if they'd like to work out with me, then downstairs to also ask my dad. They all agree, and after a bit of time with my mom cause she was pretty tired.

We rode out bikes to an open area near Lincoln Park Zoo, which was just a fifteen minute ride up the road. We began by stretching, and then we started our workout.

Day 4:
  • 3 sets of butt kicks - 45 sec set, 30 rest, 30 sec set, 30 rest, 15 sec set (HARD)
  • 3 sets of Mountain climbers -  45 sec set, 30 rest, 30 sec set, 30 rest, 15 sec set (HARD)
  • 55 or more Jumping Jacks
  • Sprints - continuous running between two points on the lawn for 3 sets. (I think three is a good number.)
  • "See the ball, Be the Dog" - This was a fun game I made up in which we each partner. Our partner would through a tennis ball as high, far and hard as you could throw it. The opposing partner would then run after the ball, run back and throw it for their partner. Each game we played had three throws per person so 6 throws total. I won the two games we played! :D
  • 3 sets of crunches - 45 sec set, 30 rest, 30 sec set, 30 rest, 15 sec set (HARD)
  • 3 sets of running in pace - 45 sec set, 30 rest, 30 sec set, 30 rest, 15 sec set (HARD)
Then a bike ride back. It was pretty brutal if I do say soo myself. And im not only saying that because I led the workouts. My dad and I were both soaking wet upon our arrival home, and both my sister and mom reported to have been a "bit sore." Which makes me happy.

If there is one thing I suggest, it would be workout with your family. They are a good source of support, and you can also support and encourage them without them feeling too pressured. My dad loved it soo much he wanted to do it again tomorrow. Idk about that, I think I plan to sleep in and take my WELL DESERVED, once a week workout break. Haha.

Sweat baby, Sweat baby.

Sweat baby, sweat baby. Sex is a Texas drought. You and me do the kinda stuff that only prince will sing about...

Today my sister, mother and I saw MAGIC MIKE. Basically, its a movie about male strippers, drugs and love. The usual! It inspired me to pursue a career in professional dancing. I'm not sure about becoming a stripper but you know its in the back of my mind. :) But professional dancing is just soo attractive because of the way the move their bodies, which also equals a pretty good excursive. I'll probably look into dance studios tomorrow.

Sooo, the workout.

Day 3:
I did the elliptical as always. I went hard for a steady 25 minutes, took a three minute recovery walk, then ran as hard as I could go for the remaining two minutes. After, i followed up with a 22 pushups, about 43 dips, and 44 squats. (All of which are on my internet program I explained in the last blog.)

I've concluded today that my favorite part of working out is SWEATING. This is because when I'm sweating I know that I am working and my work is paying off. It's a good feeling. I love how the sweat literally rolls down my face, or off my body, heck and it even makes my body shimmer and glow. I feel like one of those wack Vampires in Twilight. Its definitely a good feeling. I asked my sister and mother what were their favorite part; Sister said the BURN; Mom said Finishing. Haha!!

Moms starting my workout program tomorrow. Together we are gonna get in shape. I'm excited, I hope she sticks to it. Heck, I hope we both stick to it. :) We shall see.

Girl look at that body... I WORKOUT!

Welcome to my Workout Blog Page!!

My name is Cannon. I'm 18, a Sophomore in College and I have nothing to do this summer. So to fulfill my summer boredom, I've decided to get FIT and loose some weight.

I'm currently 5 feet, 4 inches and 135 pounds... With more fat on my arms and legs than muscle, oh and LOVE HANDLES for dayzzzzzzzzz.

I've created this blog as motivation to continue my workout goals. I am going to try to do this for the next 60 days, and see where I'm at before school starts.

Day 1:
I began my workout yesterday, by running 30 minutes on my "Spirit Fitness E-glide" or elliptical. Yayyy me! That workout consisted of 15 minutes at a strong and steady pace, rest walk for 5 minutes, Hard pace for 5 minutes, rest walk for 3 minutes, and Ball to the WALLS for the last 2 minutes, then finishing with a walk out. After that I started a pushup training program on hundredpushups.com. (my friend had been talking about it) With it I did the Day One routine on the level One program, because I could only do two pushups haha.

Day 2:
Today was my day two, I did the elliptical again 20 minutes at a strong and steady pace, rest walk for five minutes, then five minutes as hard as I could go. I was sweating a LOT. After I did my day two for hundredpushups.com, and after I also started the day one for onefiftydips.com and twohundredsquats.com both on level 2.

My hope with this blog is that i can inspire others to begin to workout, inspire others to believe in themselves and make people work for the best. Ohh and meet Jillian Michaels haha. The only advice I have for today is be persistent, and believe in yourself!! You can do it!! Take it one day at a time, like me. :) :)
